Salman Khan Wanted To Work In Uunchai, But He Said “No,” Says Sooraj Barjatya

Once upon a time, it was said that if you gave a character the name Prem, the movie would succeed. However, I’ve let go of it, Sooraj Barjatya stated.

Recently, at a trailer launch event, Sooraj Barjatya stated Salman Khan was aware of and interested in working on his next film Uunchai, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and others. According to a report, he claimed that Salman had expressed interest in doing Uunchai, but he had declined because he was seeking for a different cast. Blockbuster films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and others have been produced by Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan collectively.

“While I was preparing it, Salman asked me, “Sooraj, what are you making?” and “Why do you intend to visit the hills?”

After that, he continued, “I can make this film.” I refused! Since everyone is aware of his mountain-climbing prowess.
Sooraj Barjatya also mentioned that he had let go of everything that was holding him back this time. The director used Salman Khan’s on-screen name Prem as a good luck charm for all of his movies, but his most recent picture, Uunchai, will be his first movie without a Prem character.

“Maine sab bandhan tod diye hai in this movie,” he said (I have broken all barriers for this film). Once upon a time, the movie Prem would start if you named Prem.

The filmmaker was reported by stating after the release of the movie’s trailer, “As I already stated, ismein maine sab bandhan tod diye. Ismain sab bandhan tod diye maine, ek charm tha Prem rakho toh chal jaye. Why are you going to the hills to create this film, Salman (Khan) asked when I told him I was making a movie. Later, he offered to direct the movie, but I declined since I preferred a different cast.

Danny Denzongpa, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra are also featured in Uunchai. On November 11, the movie is expected to be released in theatres.

Parineeti Chopra made the Uunchai announcement on Big B’s 79th birthday in October of last year. The actress then posted BTS images on her social media accounts and commented, “I’m thrilled and honoured to be a part of Sooraj Barjatya sir’s renowned filmography. I can’t wait to work under Sooraj Sir’s guidance and with this amazing cast (sic), who has defined and carried the flame for Indian family entertainment.”

On Tuesday, Big B shared the trailer on his social media accounts and urged everyone to show the film “love and affection.” “Give this one your undivided attention. All of it is due to it! It’s unique.
