A huge crackdown has been started by Punjab Police to arrest the supporters and leader of the Khalistani movement. Punjab Police is searching for Amritpal Singh, Warris Punjab De head.
The Father of Amritpal Singh said that the police has ordered Singh to surrender soon. Even paramilitary forces along with Punjab Police are deployed in Jallupur Khera village of Amritsar.
Amritpal’s father hits on the wrong action of Punjab Police
When police asked Amritpal’s father about his son’s whereabouts, he said that Singh was arrested according to the latest information. He was skeptical about whether his son is safe or not.
Amritpal Singh’s father added that police are not taking any against any drug smuggler. Instead, the police are harassing his son who is making effort to stop his drug addiction in the state. Singh’s father strongly opposed the action of the Punjab police and he also called it an unjustified action.
Seizure of weapons in the operation
A wide manhunt has begun in Punjab to capture the people who are increasing communal tension in Punjab. According to the latest reports, the police caught 9 weapons including rifles, revolvers, and live cartridges.
Internet will not work till Sunday to stop the spread of rumors and communal tension in Punjab.
The case against Amritpal Singh
Last month, a kidnapping case against Amritpal Singh came to the limelight by a man. According to the allegations, Singh and his associates had beaten the man. Based on these allegations, Punjab Police caught Lovepreet Singh Toofan who is a close supporter of Amritpal Singh.
After the arrest of his close associate, Amritpal Singh warned the police to take back the case. Many of his supporters barged into the public complex with weapons and guns by breaking police barricades.
In this incident, 6 policemen suffered injuries. Punjab Police is further investigating the matter.
