Google recently announced that they were launching an update that will let customers increase their storage capacity from 15GB to 1TB. The feature will soon be made available by the corporation in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, and other countries.
The platform Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite, has revealed that it has been working on some significant changes, including increased free cloud storage of up to 1TB. Additionally, the platform will improve email personalization and broaden its geographical availability to additional users throughout the globe.
Google emphasizes in its blog post: You can collaborate and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them, and you can effortlessly store and access over 100 different file kinds in Drive, including PDFs, CAD files, and photos.
Additionally, it states that Google Drive now has built-in security against malware, spam, and ransomware, ensuring that users are not unintentionally exposed to any virus by opening a dubious document.
A new update of 1TB of safe cloud storage will soon be available to those with access to Workspace accounts (currently they are using 15 GB of storage). The user account’s 15 GB storage capacity will be immediately increased to 1 TB, as Google has indicated in a blog post.
Who is going to get the update?
Every user of Google Workspace will be entitled to 1TB of free cloud storage. The upgrade will be implemented automatically, and they won’t need to do anything.
Additionally, it has been said that Google is updating the platform by including a new feature that would allow users to send many emails at once. Users will have the option to use mail merge tags, such as @firstname, to provide each email recipient a personalized message that may seem as though it was written just for them. Users have the option of using the multi-send email feature, which may be deactivated at any moment by using the deactivation link, which is now included by default so that recipients can choose not to receive further messages.
The availability of Workspace is reportedly being expanded by Google in a number of nations, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Argentina, and Finland.
